Oct. 8th, 2003 05:42 pmI'm not really a particularly political person, but I'm rather thrilled that Arnie won. Yeah, it's sad of me I know, but I'm utterly amused by the fact that I shall mentally be referring to him as the Governator. *sniggers*
CBG's Five Things that happened to Sam Seaborn fic is up (Sunshine Days).
I'm really interested in it, but I'm not reading. Okay, I kinda skimmed and just read the Will/Sam one... (*happy sigh*) but I think I'll do the right thing and not read the rest. I'm trying to work on my own version of a Seaborn 5 Things fic and it's probably not a good idea to get too intrigued by other versions of Sam.
I just need to write out the fifth section, (and really, I just wanted to check if CGB'd done a Roslyn one). Everyone does a Roslyn one, I know, but I still want to write it. Mainly it's because I'll never write a full-fledged AU fic (I couldn't be bothered) but this is a great way of getting the idea out of my head.
However, five words that don't mean anything is BJ's Ainsley fic, that hits the right emotional spot. Section 2 & 3 hurt in just the right way, and the others are a great example of who Ainsley could be. For some reason, section 4 leaves me very happy.
Since I'm rec'ing anyway...
Five Things That Never Made Mandy Hampton A Better Person by
michellek thrills the hell out of me. Admittedly, I'm highly partial to Michelle's femslash, but it's far more than that. It's because she's one of the few writers who make me interested in the two truly harsh Sorkin women, Mandy and Amy. Left to my own devices, I'd hate the hell out of them, but under Michelle's influence I'm forced to admit that sometimes, I kinda like them. In her fics, I love them and in this fic, I want to wrap Mandy up and take her home.
Five Times You Wished You Were That Other Guy is a Josh 5 Things fic by
bananasrock that just bends my mind in wonderful ways. There are sections that simply *hurt* and others that just make me stare because he's not my Josh, but he really, really could be.
*happy sigh* You know I'm loving the WW 5 Things fics, right? Feel free to check out the rest of the submissions here.

Date: 2003-10-08 05:05 am (UTC)Heh heh heh! :D Is it wrong of me to be completely and utterly appalled, but at the same time just as entertained? It sounds horrible, but I can't help thinking, Hey, it's not my country. May as well enjoy the morbid entertainment factor. :P

Date: 2003-10-08 01:57 pm (UTC)On the other hand, from what I've heard, Arnie has employed clever, proven advisers (esp. his financial adviser) so I have a feeling it may turn out very well. Of course, my interest in this is also prompted by my dislike of Aussie politicians. I mean, it's just a case of neither party is inspiring, Liberals brought in the GST and VSU, and trying to deregulate university fees, and Labour seems to have spent the last two years shuffling about under different leaders and slowly imploding.
*sigh* At least if a movie star ran for government, I could support them. At the moment, I'm stuck between two major parties, equally boring and out of touch.
