Have I mentioned that Seth makes me think of
dammitcarl? He really does. It's just because he's such a geek, and he seems to be a musical geek, and Jess is the resident music geek on my FList.
Yeah, I'm being random. Cope.
Anyway, I want a songvid for The OC. I want it to feature Ryan and Seth, with little cameo shots of Summer and Marissa. I want it set to Custard's Girls Like That (Don't Go For Guys Like Us).
If you haven't heard this delightful little song, it's indie-pop, geeky, and just... not-cool, apart from the way that it totally rocks. It totally makes me think of Seth. (And yet, doesn't make me think of Jess at all. *shrugs* I may be highly bound by conventional ideas of gender in songs.)
Mind you, this is not the most random fannish thought I have indulged today. That prize probably goes to thinking about the West Wingers as Justice League characters. Sam's got the build (and the whole I'm *just* this close to being a socialite air to him), so he's obviously Bruce Wayne/Batman. Josh has made reference, in canon, to kryptonite being his weakness (it was a little throwaway scene with Donna, in S1, I think), so he has to be Superman. At some stage of their fannishness, everyone has either wanted to be CJ or wanted to sleep with her, so she has to be Wonder Woman. Occasionally violent urges, but still rather cute regardless, means that Donna is Hawkgirl.
Now this is where it gets tricky. Leo, with his military background and belief in the armed forces, gets to be Green Lantern. Toby should be J'onn, as I imagine he'd like to be a highly intelligent alien who doesn't need to talk to be understood. That leaves the Flash, who I'm going to give to Charlie, just because it fits in with the whole kid brother of the group dynamic, and the belief that's he's very smooth when it comes to the ladies.
I have thought about this far too damn much.

"Look at me Sam, am I Robin?" "I'm not Robin."
Date: 2003-12-09 04:58 pm (UTC)Of course, you could also say that TWW itself has Toby, Sam, & Will as Batman, Nightwing, & Robin.
(And hi. I'm a random lurker who likes your journal. I've no wish to terrify you in any way.)

Heh. Nightwing! Great thought. Impressive, independent, yet not quite as screwed up as Bats. I've ridiculously pleased by that little metaphor. Man, that needs to be used in a fic sometime...

Hiya! I'm not terrified... well, unless your next reply is along the lines of "here, look at these pictures of me dressed as a nuaghty schoolgirl...". I reserve the right to be freaked if that happens. *g*
Hmmm... do you want an LJ code? I ask because I've got quite a few just rotting away, and the more, the merrier.
