Rambling, thy name is Annie

Okay, I'm waiting for the next twenty minutes to pass. I feel like Blackboard. Hurry up! (Those of you not in Australia, or who didn't watch Mr Squiggle, probably won't get that. For those of you who did get it, Blackboard was my *favourite* character. *g*)
I posted a couple unbeta'd fics to
inthetallgrass (they've already appeared on my LJ, so it's nothing new) because:
a) I won't bother getting those beta'd
b) If I post them there, there's a chance I'll update my website soon with the new fics
c) I wanted to keep up to my 8 sorkin fics a month average. (Dude, that's Jan, Feb and March. I wonder if I can keep this up all year? *boggles at the thought*)
And, this is kinda unrelated, but do you guys think I should bother posting the SN icon drabbles there? (I should probably not be lazy, and get those beta'd first...)
*sighs*
I want it to be home time so I can sit on the train and write sleepless Casey.I want it to be Friday so I can have a weekend. Scratch that. I want it to be Sunday so I can play tag with Celli and squeal over Little City.
*pouts*
I'm tired. I'm a little cranky. I have a headache that just won't quit. And I'm out of batteries for my discman. Could 6pm please hurry up and get here?
Oh, screw that. If I can get out of here at 5.30pm, I'm dashing.
(On the good side of today, I got reassurance from
scrunchy that my weird promo inspired fic works outside my head.)

Date: 2004-03-31 01:22 am (UTC)If it helps, I think you're one of those writers who can get away with posting unbetaed work.

Date: 2004-03-31 03:31 am (UTC)Other than that it's down to virtual hugs. And the suggestion of an early night - sometimes it's best to just give up for the day if you're feeling really cranky.

Date: 2004-03-31 03:40 am (UTC)Thank you. Just the offer made me laugh.

I'm not super-cranky, I'm just out of sorts, I guess.
It's just hormonal, I get that. It's just... Take the SN/SFU fic, for example. I wrote it this arvo, then realised my characterisation was basically screwed and that Nate was just coming across as Casey with a Fischer family, then I posted it. Scrunchy replied very enthusiastically, and I was all pleased about it, and now, a couple hours later, I'm all sure it's basically stuffed again.
Huh. Maybe I should go to bed soon. But I'm hungry, and I'm gorging myself on pasta...
Sorry, Signe, you just hit rambling-Annie

Date: 2004-03-31 03:46 am (UTC)I totally understand what that's like. I've just posted another section of Symbiote, and I'm wildly fluctuating between being really pleased with sections of it, and wondering what the fuck I was thinking with others. Which is why I just posted it quickly so I couldn't change my mind about it.
I'll take a look at your SN/SFU fic if you like, though it's been a while since I watched SFU, so I won't be the best judge of characterisation.
As for pasta, best thing for crankiness. Lots of yummy carbs, preferably loaded with melted cheese.

Mmmm... Well, not cheesy, but creamy. I bought one of those "fresh" pasta sauces on the way home, creamy bacon and mushroom. Very tasty. I've already had too much to eat (3 bowl fulls) but I'm going back for more.
There is a chance I'll just *explode* tonight.

No buts, you're definitely neurotic! ;-)
