Thank you!

I'm not here, I'm doing assignment number 2.

Anyway, someone just gave me extra userpics! *bounces* (Although, I feel inclined to point out that I wasn't begging for more - as much as I'll appreciate it - I was just generally blathering in my last post.)

Still, icons again! So, if the anonymous icon fairy wants to fess up and claim a thank-you gift, please do. *g*

ETA: Oh, and GIP. Made by [livejournal.com profile] latxcvi as a thanks to pinch-hitting on the Iconic challenge. (Am I the only one who mentally pronounces her user name as "Latex-Civvy"?)

H'm. You ask for icons and iconage shall be given. But no sign of the Assignment Pixie?

I expect there's a Valuable Life Lesson to be learned there, possibly something that we could make into a Disney Movie of the Week at some point.

(Apropos of nothing) Oh thank god, my [male] boss has shoes and socks on today, not Birkenstocks.

Eight hours of mindless toil and drudgery lie ahead of me, but I'll try and send the odd 'Yay!' of assignment encouragement across the oceans, in between checking LJ obsessively to see if anyone's being amusing or entertaining or even saying anything at all to break the MONOTONY.

The valuable lesson is that other fen (not me, obviously) are damn generous with their time and energy. The Assignment Pixie, on the other hand, is as reliable as Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. As soon as you're old enough to ask the important questions (like, "why did I get this, *I* *want* that!"), they disappear.

Good luck on the lack of monotony. *snerk*

Hi person who's not here. :) Ready to make me write more? I was thinking porn this time.

*snerk* Not only did I say I wasn't there, I actually *wasn't*. I've spent all day going over formulas and calculating superannuation, and now... I'm still like 500 words short. It's not a bad thing in and of itself, the worry is coming from all the other students who were complaining about getting it down to 3000. *looks worried*

But, anyway, PORN!!! And, even better, Celli-Porn! (Make of that what you will. *leers*)

Hee! My mind pretty much skips right over the complicated "xc" consonants, and thus I'm pretty sure I say it "lat-vee" in my head. Even though that doesn't correspond in anyway to what the letters are...

Okay, Lat-Vee sounds a bit cooler. Like only one syllable away from TV and that's always a good thing. *changes mental pronounciation*

Ooh, nice SN icon. Wasn't LaT marvellous for making them for us pinch-hitters?

(Am I the only one who mentally pronounces her user name as "Latex-Civvy"?)

Well, I knew her as LaT before I found her LJ, so she'll probably always be Lah-Tee to me. And so her LJ handle just looks like LaT-ex-see-vee-aye -- or LaT96, which my brain processes that way half the time, side effect of years of collecting nineteenth-century books.

Latex-civvie is amusing, though. I tend to parse [livejournal.com profile] autumnyte as "autumny Te" more often than "autumn night," so you're not alone in your unconventional / unintended readings.

*nods happily* This icon is currently my favourite. Of course, it also makes me want a companion icon with "Snarkier than thou" but that will wait until study is done and sanity/free time returns.
