Officially, it's a background viral infection (which I went "Awhatna?", and he explained it's a flu that's just been hanging around) and my ears are slightly pink (a possibly bacterial infection).
Hence, I've been given a short course of antibiotics for the ears, and recommended painkiller and rest for the flu.
ETA: On the good side, the internet makes me feel much better. I'm currently giggling at
baggers Angel/BtVS mood icons, and staring at
dinanimo's scans of Beyonce.

I don't have much faith in 'rest', if sleep cured anything, I'd be bounding with health! It stops you feeling shitty, I suppose. But only temporarily.

Date: 2004-06-17 02:35 am (UTC)But, on the other hand, I do get ear infections easily. Always did as a kid. Even if the antibiotics do nothing for the flu, it'll stop me coming down with a bad ear infection, since my immune systems already been beaten by the flu.
And I'm inclined to say sleep helps a lot. Of course, that assumes that I'd spend a day off in bed sleeping, and not, say, online writing ficlets. *g*
