The Yuletide Oscure Challenge is up (and you have no idea how much the title "Yuletide 2: Obscure Boogaloo" makes me giggle) and I think everyone should check it out. This year, it's being run a little differently. It's not obscure pairings, but obscure *fandoms*. You'll get to name your fandom, name the character you want it to be about and request other details, and in return, you just have to write 1000 words for someone else (which can be gen, het or slash).
At the moment, the rules have been outlined and they've put up a post requesting fandom ideas. This doesn't force you to enter or to choose your request, but what it does do is allow the organisers to see the fandoms that people are interested in requesting/reading.
Check it out and name as many obscure fandoms/characters as you can. It'll be fun. Trust me. (I've already done it. See?)
