Okay, Universe? I get all of the many, many practical reasons why spending Saturday away from a computer is important (cleaning, gardening, chores, talking to family members, etc) and I'm good with that. But that leaves me with a very limited amount of time that I can waste online for fannish stuff.

So the black-out from midnight Saturday to midday Sunday seems a bit over the top. (Luckily, though, we went to mum's boyfriend's place, which had not been blacked-out, and watched The Recruit -- good, intesne, suspensful spy-fun -- followed by eps of Jeeves & Wooster.)

This does bring me to my next point. If I threw my arms wide and announced a Jeeves & Wooster free-for-all at my place one weekend, what would be best? I'm thinking something starting around midday on a Saturday and going on for as long as people want to stick around. (Considering we have two spare single beds plus a mattress that could be midday Sunday, really.)

Possibly something in March, since there's at least one weekend kinda free due to the non-show of John Barrowman. What would work for you guys?

Also, keep in mind that I'm in Geelong. Easy enough to get to by train, and I'm happy enough to ferry people from the station, but would a Melbourne-based thing be better for everyone? If so, we'd basically have the choice of hiring somewhere (and I'm not a fan of expense) or someone else would have to volunteer to be invaded.
