1) The amount of feedback I got on Our Earth Logic. While I was writing it, I had mega-self-doubts regarding characterisation and the lack of actual plot. (Hmmm. I think I've actually started having *plot* in my stories. A few years ago, when all I wrote was SN banter, I don't think I ever managed plot. Huh.) But, yeah, I had big doubts that I didn't want to confess to anyone, and they seem to have been rather unfounded.

2) [livejournal.com profile] celli has finished and posted Fireball!

No, I'm sorry, that doesn't really explain my enthusiasm. Let me try it again.

FIREBALL!!!!!

That's better.

(I've read part of the story so I can vouch for how incredibly good this SGA AU is -- even though I don't actually have any idea of NASCAR other than they race cars. Personally, I'm planning on printing it out and reading during lunch time.)

*hugs you back*

Even though it's totally your fault that I overslept and had to be a total John Sheppard speed demon on the drive to work to make BootCamp in time. You'd think that if you're going to write super-hot smut scenes, you'd at least have the decency to do it in a short PWP that I could read in a reasonable amount of time, instead of inserting it into a touching, funny, sweet story that made me stay up two hours after my bedtime.

But despite holding you responsible for that, I still say you're brilliant and this fic proves it.

And that "three fans" line still made me giggle insanely. And "Colonel Hot Feet" remains the best nickname ever (and waaaaay better than "Bug Eyed Dummy").

And "Everybody knows my heart's in NASCAR." would have made me swoon if I'd been standing up. *Perfect* level of utter romance. Perfect.

(Also, I need to check with you about what the last scene of the story *meant*. See, I have no idea if the Daytona race is at the end of the racing season -- ie. the intro to that last race that John was about to do -- or at the start -- ie. a flash of the next year and the Weir Racing team living happily ever after. I could, of course, google for this information, but it's far more fun to ask you.)

ETA: "I can't tell you how excited I am to be here to start out the 2007 NASCAR season"

Oh, hey, you know what? Scratch that last question. You totally covered it already. Clearly, my comprehension skills are not fantastic after 10.30pm.
