Dear TW 2.13,

You moved a little fast, I thought you were exciting and fun, and now I feel so betrayed. You were so fun and awesome at the start, had witty quips and an adventurous spirit. You had a slightly dangerous but sexy edge to you.

Then, halfway through, it got a bit too dangerous for me. You got a little violent, a little mean, and it left me worried.

Worried for good reason, as it turned out.

I kept thinking that you'd change your mind, that you'd remember that fun, lively soul you had when we met. But you didn't. You broke my heart. Then you hung around long enough to make my chest ache and when you left, all I wanted to do was cry.

I really loved you, but I don't think I can see you again for a little while. I think we both need space to heal.

See, I can easily stop at episode 12 and la la la la season finale no episode 13! la la la la.

I'm going with episode 13 didn't happen. Or the radiation some how put Owen back to normal, and he'll show up fine, full of blood and ready to shag the women of Wales.

Um, Tosh? Risen Mitten?

*clings to your ideas*

Or, more correctly, I foresee me writing a lot of "set mid-S2" fic. I mean, just yesterday afternoon I was working on the set up for Jack/Ianto/Ianto smut (not a typo but a "fun alien devices" type idea) and had mentions of Tosh and Owen and...

Yeah. I'll be writing a lot of S2 fic.

(Mind you, I also have the urget o sit down and write post-2.13 fic, with Jack and Ianto and Gwen bonding and mourning -- and, yeah, I like the trio of those three so I would be endlessly fascinated by them balancing out each other's emotional states -- and Rhys in the background, making sure everyone eats the food tat Ianto organises and then making sure Ianto's okay when he accidentally makes five coffees and freezes standing in front of the coffee machine.)

I mean, I'm full of love for this episode, but it was... Awesome, awesome, awesome, danger, still pretty awesome, then HEARTBREAK! I wasn't prepared for that.

Yes, I am very smart.

Smallville totally did this to me. Any fic I wrote or really enjoyed tended to diverge from canon somewhere around season 3, when they made Lex crazy. *heartbreak*

And YES! Exit Wounds really is awesome, but MAN. I haven't been able to go back and watch any of it.

I would love to read this.

I could see Rhys just sort of... coming by, bringing them donuts or something some morning & ending up staying around, unofficial Torchwood emotional support.

Rhys would be the one pointing out that hovering in the Hub is plain macabre and talking them all into staying a few nights with him and Gwen. ("Look," he said to Jack, "Gwen'll sleep better knowing you're close by. Do us a favour and come back with us.")
