Dude! Paige is singing Fever. Slow, sexy and sultry. Man, that's the way that song should be sung! *bg*

Hey! They cut it down to shreds! That song rocks, and they turned it into about ten lines long. *pouts*

Hmmm... Hey, is anyone on my Friends list keeping up with the Historical Clex challenge? Has there been an entry for 15-17th century Ottoman Empire Clex? I'm just curious because of the Harem documentary that was on this week and last week. I don't know just how I could fit Clark and Lex into the Sultan's palace/harem, but I'd like to see it done. Or, possibly, if I get time, maybe even work on a fic along those lines... Hmmm... Bad fic-bunny-spawning documentary! *g*

Ah, Clark could be a prize from a raid on another kingdom, perhaps *g*.

Either he was treasured by his adopted homeland and therefore prized as booty, making him an elite class of slave, or he was a commoner and caught up with the roundup of young men from that area, and simply catches the Prince's eye...

I imagine the prince being besotted by this young man's ability to blush prettier than any of the females in his harem, favouring him and raising his staus, causing jealousy and dissent...

Then! Then an attempt is made on the young prince's life, and his favoured saves him from assassination (as he does *g*). Perhaps he is then raised again to personal guard status, never leaving the prince's side...

Hmm. Not that I've thought about this at all. ;-)

Or, perhaps even not personal guard status. There was one slave who was raised to High Vizier. He had started out as a simple guard, and ended up being the Sultan's most trusted confident, even sleeping in the same room as him (there were rumours that they were lovers, but no proof one way or the other). In the end, the Sultan believed his wife's comments, and had the guy executed, but he did it in the royal way, so there was some lasting respect there. Hmmm...

Let's see, that was the first Sultan (last week) with... the first Saltana, actually. Damnit, can't remember her name, or I'd do a quick google search.

See, it's a good plan, you should write! *g*

...

I also have an idea, but it's too long to post in one entry.
