Just finished watching Ever After. It's such an enchanting film, lovely to just sit back and enjoy.

Well, I'm halfway through the first day of my four day weekend, and loving it dearly! It rocks being able to wake up early, watch TV, and then go back to sleep for a couple of hours. (Even though I still woke up at 6.45am - which is the normal time I get out of bed *g*)

Watched CardCaptors. Even the dub is gay. Heh. First off, the Light and Dark cards are so doing it, Touya took his boyfriend to see hie lil' sister's school play, Madison/Tomoyo's devotion to sakura is still obvious, and both Li and Sakura crossdressed. *sniggers* Sometimes, even though they edit the hell out of it, it's still a fairly subversive cartoon. I was amused.

Also watched Dead Ringers from last night (it's on after Manchild. Do I need to state the fact that I want Manchild slash? I didn't think so. *g* I don't care how straight the guys appear, there can never be enough Anthony Head slash.). Was highly amused by the sketch of Ozzy Osbourne playing Dumbledore. His last few lines about Voldemort just made me crack up:
"You leave Voldemort to me. He's thinks he's the beep-ing Prince of Darkness. I'll show 'im who the real the Prince of Darkness is. Let's see the look on his face when I bite the head off Professor Snape."

Hmmm... there's plenty of religious films on. A few years ago, I remember Easter having very few religious films screening, so I'm kinda glad they changed it. However, since I really don't agree with the last rule book the Vatican released, and it's a choice between slash or Jesus, I chose the sinful one.

Oh [livejournal.com profile] tboy, I forgot to tell you about my train ride home yesterday. Got on the train fairly exhausted, saw this guy sit down opposite me and couldn't figure out why he was drawing my attention. Cutish, but not great looking. Very think, healthy hair...

He started reading a book, so I gave up on figuring it out, and fell asleep. I woke up one station away from home, looked up and saw the guy smirking at the book he was reading, and then it hit me. Brian!

He was such a Brian-lookalike, it was rather unnerving. The only thing that wasn't distinctly Brian-ish, was the hairstyle (which was really a cross between Brian's and Ashton Kushner's... *g*). He looked up and gave me a funny look, so I guess my surprise/amusement must have shown.

It was just very odd.

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] tboy, Sea by Sarah H is a quick little Brian POV QaFUS fic, post-S2. Conflicted, sexy, and just as screwed up as Brian himself is. Could you believe that just for a little while, I felt for poor Brian losing Justin to Ethan?

And, a Boondock Saints drabble here...

How much do I love [livejournal.com profile] dammitcarl and [livejournal.com profile] slodwick for introducing me to [Unknown site tag]? *g* Thanks.

Oh, the thought just occured to me that since I'm off-work, I can watch Lizzie McGuire. Bugger, just realised I missed it this afternoon. I'll watch it Monday (5pm ABC).

And, yes, the only reason I'm watching this kids show is that the actress looks like a young MR in drag. *g* (Me? Not at all obsessed. Really.)

ETA: I'm wondering if it's the Scottish blood that makes me think that any name starting with "Mc" should be spelt "Mac"... Probably just my wierd spelling kinks.

Todays word is legs... Spread the word!

As a life motto, that just amuses me.

More quizzes, just because I could:Yay! Pie! )

Considering that quizzes are such a waste of time, they're very fun. *g*

I know I mentioned this ealier, but ... wow. Five Things That Never Happened To Spike is wonderful. Each story is utterly haunting, wonderfully descriptive and almost poetic. It's all Spike, and different, possible incarnations of Spike, but not once is the character unrecognisable.

Just... wow.

You know what? Femslash just doesn't get to me the same way that m/m slash does. Which is weird, since generally I find chicks far more attractive than guys. (There are the notable exceptions, and these tend to be the fictional guys I lust after, but really...? Given the choice between making out with Micheal Rosenbaum and Amber Benson, I'd be Amber all the way.)

I barely even read femslash, and when I do, it doesn't have quite the same effect. I mean, I read Willow/Anya, and Cordy/Faith (which is a mental picture which is very tasty) but... I enjoy it as a story, but it's not getting the same guh... hot reaction that m/m fics have.

Although, since I'm currently a little off m/m smut anyway, neither is really pushing my buttons. Yeah, this post was a little TMI, wasn't it?

ETA: Maybe it's also the amount of angst in the fics. As I was telling Lynda, I just don't have the patience/energy/concern at the moment for long angstfests, and neither of the fics was particularly cheery.

Just came across this link to the lyrics of "A - You're Adorable"

This is an old song that my Granddad used to sing to his kids, although he couldn't quite remember the words, and the tune changed just a little. When I was a little kid, this was one of a few songs that mum used to sing to us as babies. (Admittedly, we change the lyrics to this )

I haven't thought of that in ages. I guess although no-one in the family actually played an instrument (we learned piano at one stage, and both kids learned the recorder) we were kinda musical. We had songs that we sang on the playground, that old see-saw song lyrics, if you're curious ) and two songs when we were on the swings lyrics, if you're really curious )

My HP crossover is HP/N*Sync! )

*cackles* I don't think so.

On a totally different, and random note, the two hottest Aussie comedians are Wil Anderson and Sarah Kendall.

I'm barely into one fandom, and I avoid the sparkley boys of popslash like the plague!

I'm going to go to bed, and watch Glasshouse.

Hmm... Sarah Kendall's show only goes to Sunday, so maybe I'll pull a finger out and go tomorrow night. ($22 a ticket isn't too bad.)
