So, I'm finally out of bed, and decided to go online. Saw X-Men2 last night, which was wonderful, and I'll ramble on more about it later. Got McDonald's beforehand (I was following a theme - I had the Ragin' Cajun burger. *g*)

Anyway, got out of the film, it was a bit past 9pm, and still felt really awake from it. So, I decided I'd go out. Got all the way to South Yarra, and couldn't find the little disco I was looking for (It was a funky place I went to with friends ages ago). Walked all the way up and down Commercial Road (and that's a long street), then grabed an OJ at Diva, and decided that I couldn't be stuffed going out after all.

So I got a taxi to the station, came home and watched this week's Angel. And went to bed very happy. *g*

During a comment a while ago, [livejournal.com profile] baggers mentioned that a lot of her crushes on guys were non-sexual. That idea's been going round my head for a little while. It describes my feelings about the SV characters, really. Even Lex, who I'm fond of, and most frequently sqeal over, I wouldn't actually want to sleep with. I think he's hot and all, but I'm not actually personally interested. (Heck, the only SV character that made me go, "Take me now" was Red!Clark.)

And when it comes to AtS and BtVS, as hot as I think most of the characters are, Tara and Giles are the only ones I'd actually sleep with. I still drool over Cordy, Wes, Faith (when she's around), and Spike (occasionally) but I couldn't imagine myself actually sleeping with them.

When I think about it, there are very few characters that I could actually see myself with. I may simply adore them for who they are, but the appeal is far more impersonal. I'm wondering if other fans find this is true too...?

ExpandWhy I loved X-Men 2... )

Basically, I saw it by myself and loved every minute of it, even if I spent the last forty minutes wishing I hadn't drunk so much coke during the film. And, if work decides to have the social night next week (it was postponed this week) I will be so happy to watch it again.

I have yet to read it, but's it's probably most apporpriate. *looks at results* Oh damn, I could have got 1984, which is damn funky. Bugger.

Totally O/T: I saw the clip for that "Whatever" song this morning. I'm hoping it becomes popular, because I liked it. Regardless of how try-hard and dated it sounded.

I could be finding pics for a new icon, or sending feedback for those Lionel/Clark fics, or reading fics, but that's all too much effort. Hence, I'm doing quizzes and memes. *g*

Wow. Julad's Marble. I was a little concerned it would be too subtle for me to get (I do have that problem, it's why I dislike the novel Swordspoint) but it was lovely.

I still want to reread it when I'm actually thinking, but still, it was understated and wonderful.

SV's about to start, but I'm still reading Julad's Draco/Harry fic, Lustre. Screw SV, I'll put it on to tape and finish the fic. It'll probably only take another fifteen minutes, and I'm really enjoying it.

I love all the Luthor bits on SV. The rest I left on mute, and just watched the Luthor bits. I taped it so I can rewatch it later, so it's not a big deal.

Do you know where I live?

Brendan Frasier in Blast from the Past? Such a woobie!

There's something very appealing about guys who call chicks ma'am.

I'm off to bed. I think I'll watch tonight's Bill. Or maybe just the end of the Full Monty.

I'm now up-to-date on the selling_out (Hey, [livejournal.com profile] dammitcarl, how do you link to a community? It doesn't work for me with the lj user=, so I figure it's a different code.). It's lovely to see a great AU idea embraced by so many good writers. Plus, Ethan. He'd be a pain to know, but from a distance, it's easy to love the guy. *g*

I need to do some boring RL stuff tomorrow and shouldn't be online, but I bet I will. Fingers crossed, I'll only go online after I've done the chores!
