A Pirate's Life for Me..

I saw PoTC yesterday. Twice. *g* Once with slashers (Genie and Mirna), and then again with my brother. You know one of the most amusing things? Half of the comments my brother leaned over to say to me during the film, were things that I'd whispered to Genie the first time I saw it. (The other amusing thing is that I scammed my way in for the second showing, without buying a new ticket. I mean, sure it doesn't quite have the dangers of being a pirate, but I think it honours the spirit of piracy!)

*Love* that film! I've seen it twice, and I'd be happy to see it again. It's been a while since I've walked away from a film equally loving the leads. (Bring on the threesome fic. *g*)

Remember the "Which one of Captain Jack Sparrow's bizarre sayings from Pirates of the Caribbean are you?" that everyone else got to do months ago? (Me? Bitter? Hell, yeah. I could have reading pirate smut for *months* if I hadn't been waiting for them to release the movie over here...), I'm:

Hee! You are Jack's "You have to find yourself a girl, mate ... you're not a eunuch, are you?" speech. You're quite a bit sex-crazed, and you assume that everyone else is as horny as you are. Get it on as soon as possible so that you can join the rest of us on Planet Earth ... I'm sure you'll have a good time doing so.

However, I am easily amused. Looking over LJ, I came across superswank and had a moment of thinking she must be a SV fan, since my mind immediately broke it down to "Super's wank"... *giggles* "Super swank" actually sounds far cooler, but it doesn't appeal to my inner 13 year old sense of humour.

Okay, both the procrasting and the Jack icon fit this post.

I've accomplished nothing, but have enjoyed chasing elke_tanzer's list of PoTC LJ memories. She rocks! I've also been humming What Shall We Do With A Drunken Sailor? all afternoon. We used to sing it in primary school, and it's physically impossible to forget the tune.
