Okay, yay for Hope and her DC-comics fan boyfriend. She lent me a tape of JL, and can I just say I'm *loving* it. I keep laughing out loud, not just because of funny lines (like GL's comment "Flash, don't heckle the supervillian") but also out of pure... joy. I'm just loving it.

The Flash is so funny, and Bats is just that right level of cranky, and Supes is so sweet. Jonn's intriguing, and Hawkgirl rocks, as does Wonder Woman and Green Lantern. You know what? They're all highly appealing. (And I cheered like anything when the Joker worked with Lex.)

Hmmm... [livejournal.com profile] dammitcarl asked for Sam/Josh recs as she wants to write a S/J story and wants to get back into the WW groove.

Of course, it led to me looking over old recs I posted to my LJ. I also came across 25 Things about My Sam and My Josh. I'm oddly amused by the things that I listed. I still agree with all of them, but I'm intrigued by the things that have become fics. (Even my flight challenge fic, which is just a little influenced by "The first dozen times that Sam flew on Air Force One, he always took a window seat and sat watching the clouds go by. He hasn't spent an entire flight looking out the window in over two years now.")

And someday, I will write the fic behind "My Josh only told Sam about Joanie once, many years ago when he was very drunk. He can't remember much about that night other than stumbling over words and crying into Sam's shirt. He pretends that he can't remember it at all."

ETA - Hey! I'm watching the Kumars at No. 42, and it's got one of the guys from Drop the Dead Donkey on it. It's Neil Pearson (who played Dave). *g*

Well, seeing Neil Pearson left me with a hankering for Drop the Dead Donkey fiction. Intriguingly enough, I found two fics, which both have good characterisation.

Well, I've read The Morning After by Singrina, before. It's a nice Henry/Dave, which is highly believable.

And, I found Moral Support by [livejournal.com profile] imperfectcircle, a Damien/Dave piece that was enjoyable.

I forgot how much I used to love this show. They're all surprisingly nuts, and even my favourite characters are lovable bastards.
