Trying to catch up on work without actually letting on as to how much you haven't done over the last month...? Not as much fun as you think. Of course, I'm trying to organise new forms for a client, so I'm updating while they print.

(This also stops me from stamping my foot and crying "Damn you Adobe! Print! Print! Just open the file and... No! Don't freeze *again*! Grrrr...")

Ooh! It's pay-day. I got paid 2 extra days sick leave (that wasn't paid last fortnight), but still! Woo! Extra $95! (Of course, it was budgetted into last fortnight's pay, meaning that it isn't actually spending money, it's just the reason why my bank account is down to train fare and little else.)

I listened to ADIDAS* for about an hour last night, and for another half hour this morning. I think I run the risk of driving Mum insane with my love of this song.

* You wouldn't believe that I listened to it last night, and only realised on the train this morning that the term "ADIDAS" is an acronym. Right up until then, Ikept thinking there was some link to the sporting brand that I just wasn't getting. *laughs at self*

Don't get me wrong. I *like* getting out of the office and running the occasional errand.

I'm just not so fussed on it when it's 31C, and I didn't wear stockings/trouser socks. Bare skin, hot weather and leather shoes combines to form blisters (a small one on each foot).

So, I'm going to sit here, take off my shoes and feel a little sorry for myself. Or, in other words, catch up on LJ. *g*

You know, I was going to post and say that the icon challenge was still up (you know, name an icon of mine and I'll write a drabble/ficlet for it?), but I can't find the post.

Seriously. There's three SN ficlets of debateable quality that seem to have just disappeared. It's very odd.

Nevermind. I found it.

Anyway, the offers still open if anyone wants to request another ficlet based on one of my user icons. Ummm... yes, I *am* trying to avoid work.

Yes, I did get home and immediately turn the computer on just to listen to this song. We're talking a scary level of addiction here, folks.

Huh. Anyway, I have written YA and SV drabbles and wondered if there's anyone online at the moment to quickly proof-read. Not a full beta, just a quick skim to check if the characters still sound right. (I've been... absorbed in SN fandom, and the sorkinese may have permanently permeated my writing. When Pete starts quoting Casey lines, you need to take it as a sign.)

On a different thought, Mum's away for most of the weekend, so it's a chance to get some study writing done. Hey, celli, what's your weekend like? Would you have time to write a bit more of that SN fic we started on... *thinks* your Saturday afternoon/evening? (Should be my Sunday morning/afternoon, and yes, it is sad that I'll schedule writing but won't schedule study. I'm resolutely Not Thinking About It.)
