I got halfway through reading a JC/Lance fic on Friday, but in the thrill of work supplied drinks, didn't note the title, author or URL.

JC and Lance first kissed in the rain, and then Lance got a flu, and then there was a lot of focus on weight loss, dieting and working out in the gym. (Okay, and that's officially the worst story summary ever.) Does it ring a bell...?

Nope, but I don't read JC/Lance. If no one else picks it up, you could try posting in [livejournal.com profile] popstoryfinders

Thanks for the idea, but Indy recognised it for me. *g*

*happy sigh* That is such a pretty icon!

Sounds like Cuisine by Calico...

*hugs Indy* Thanks! That's it.

*snerk* I have to agree. The strong focus on dieting/losing weight was kinda freaking me out (then again, I've never been good on the whole dieting/staying slim thing, so maybe that's just the thrill you get with losing weight...), but I want to know how it ends.

Don't be freaked - although the first and only time I read this I said to Sin 'she made me not like JC' and Sin was like yeah but you're not supposed to.

*nods* Lance and JC are always my fave pop guys, but that fic's just... worrying. Disconcerting, because it works. (It's like... really, it's that same vague feeling of concern from watching "Once More With Feeling" and realising that the Tara/Willow relationship looks/feels good, but really isn't...)

Leaves me a bit concerned about them, hoping that when they do eventually crash and fall from the dieting they'll have good friends around who'll help them get their act together again.

Of course, it also leaves me tempted to go raid the chocy biscuits in the kitchen... *g*

Yeah, you're meant to be freaked out. They're not exactly the picture of mental health. *g*

*nods* It's just... more than slightly disconcerting, really.

And, I'd probably be happier if it didn't make me think of Willow/Tara. The relationship *looks* so healthy, *feels* so healthy, but deep down it's doing damage.

All the same, the end is rather hopeful. I mean, they've got an observant friend who's obviously keeping an eye on them. When they come to their senses, they've got friends who have been there, done that, and get the pressure to be thin.

Mind you, the story still leaves me feeling hungry and wanting to go track down some chocolate. *g*
