I have a shocking headache from the wine last night. I think I'll go lie down and watch TS or SN. Even if I do want to stay online and read popslash.

Take Free Myers-Briggs Personality Test Well, it's as accurate as it ever gets, I think. (There's a description
here and
here.) Certainly, I've always been a highly studious child and was not too social. What I mean is that all through childhood I had one or two best friends (which continued until I was 15, where there was a group of about 5-6 of us, but it settled back down by 17 to 2-3 main friends) as opposed to my brother, who has always had a crowd of friends, since before he even started school.
I am into the whole knowledge-gathering side of things, and my favourite guys are the knowledge-seeking geeks. Every time, I can be trusted to gravitate towards the geeky guys and glasses is a plus. Wearing ties as well? I'm very happy. *bg*
The attitudes are right, too. I don't like organising/working with others. I can do it, but I'd rather be left alone. And, I don't see arrogance as a terrible thing. I mean, if you have the knowledge to back it up, I'll find it charming (eg. Sam, Josh, etc...). If you don't, it'll bring out the competitive side in me and I will walk away highly unimpressed by you (eg. Brian Kinney).
The interesting thing is the way that the HP houses are arranged. As I mentioned to
tboy the houses are divided by whether the child is an extrovert (Slytherin, Griffindor) or an introvert (Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff) which is why the stories are generally all about the extroverted houses (they make far more fuss out of it). They're also divided by whether they make decisions with their hearts (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff) or their heads (Slytherin, Ravenclaw). I clearly belong in Ravenclaw.
However, the interesting thing is that the personalities are not grouped by these two attributes. They're grouped into types by the other two (Idealists, Guardians, Rationals, Artisans). This means that although each house is generally quiet or loud, emotional or thoughtful, each house has a range of personalities which really wouldn't understand each other too well.
A better grouping would be by the four types, as although some would be more outgoing than others, they'd all learn in the same ways. The Guardians and the Artisans are both concrete/sensory types, that learn from physically doing something. The Rationals and the Idealists are more interested in theory. Hence, if the classes were arranged that way, teachers could emphasise the style that would have the greater effect on the class and that the students could understand better. Likewise, you would know that the Judging types would be organised students paying attention to deadlines, whereas the Perceiving types would want far more flexibility in class.
Oh, well, I guess that at least with this organisation of the houses, you don't have the introverts being overruled by the extroverts in class. The introverted students would have a more equal say in their house because nobody's looking for the attention.

The INTP may be prone to abandoning a project once they have figured it out, moving on to the next thing.Bwahahahaha! Okay, that's completely me. It's why I have trouble writing fic. If I have no idea where it's going, I'll just ramble. But once I've worked it out in my head, figured out what the characters will do, how the fic will end, I have no compulsion to finish writing the fic. In fact, I tend to completely lose interest.
